I keep getting caught up with everything here in New York, and not actually posting! I stopped by a few other booths, and may as well post about them, even if some of the stops were small and short!

Hog Wild Toys

I fell in love with the Unicorn Power Popper last year, and Poppers are still in style. This year, targets are now affordable and can be purchased separately or included in future packages. Theyve already seen heavy use at the trade shows, and work with both the foam balls the poppers use as well as darts.

Naturally, there will be more flavors of squeeze poppers coming.

Finally, Hog Wild is expanding their outdoor play category, with emphasis on things like trick frisbees, a unique lawn tennis game, and a fun blast-and-catch game called Pop And Pass!

D-Dart

D-Dart is expanding its line to offer more variety and faster delivery, as many of you have seen in their previous coverage at Nuremberg Toy Fair. Vlad and IAmBobololo are my favorite examples.

Bunkr Teams Up With Nerf

Did you remember all the inflatable bunkers in stores advertising the National Blaster League Theyre still around, but more importantly, theyve got the big partnership. Playview Brands displayed many of the new products. These items still have bases that you can fill with water so they can be used outside. Many now have ammo holders at the top, or ridges for laying down your blaster and aiming while behind cover. You can even make your own prototypes, such as an inflatable barrier or game chair and a tube + mesh fort that you can place to shoot under or over.

You can also throw plush grenades, which are fun for HvZ games after a few changes. It’s funny to see how many people have inquired about the large inflatables made for this purpose. You never know! If the interest is really there, they might happen!

Expect to see more of these guys at events like Jareds Epic Nerf Battle. Expect Season 2 of National Blaster League to be in place. The behind-the scenes calculus has changed slightly now that Nerf branding has been in effect.

Marky Sparky

This brand is one I am guilty of not following up on. I owned a lot of Faux Bows back when they first came out and had many of them to mod for Nerf wars. But, I didn’t keep up with the latest updates. At this point, were up to version 4.0! Still uses the large toy arrows, but now comes in cool mineral deco themes, with fun packaging for the pleasure of unboxing. The same large internals, with plenty of power and shock absorption from the plunger.

The plunger handle has a return roller and silicone pieces for extra comfort.

The Faux Bow Pro boasts 200 ranges and their REAL bow which shoots extremely hard. There are also more serious products, such as the Faux Bow Pro. This last product isn’t exactly a toy (it has a large bow with 12 plastic tubular-arrow arrows), but it is a blast to shoot. Ill just insert a relevant Instagram post here so you know what Im talking about (from a trade show they attended prior to Toy Fair).
