Blaster Labs is your direct source for everything related to Mattels new BOOMco product line!

Some blogs are still waiting to get their hands on new BOOMco products, but Blaster Labs has been in close contact with Mattel and their PR firm and has had hands-on coverage since the beginning of BOOMco. Here are a fewof our coverage highlights:

  • Same-day coverage of the full line-up back in March, and the first public link to the US version of the Coming Soon website.
  • Mattel provides first-hand information about the product, including distance claims and high-resolution imagery. Official July 5,116 cm release information is also available.
  • First mention of undisclosed customizable BOOMco targets.
  • First complete product details and images of the Whipblast Blaster are now available.
  • First chrono testing of a BOOMco product, with a documented 15.5 m-per-second speed.
  • First mention of the BOOMco Twisted Spinner contest in a major Nerf-related website.
  • Extreme Battle Pack, and other accessories and packs first spotted online.

And it gets better. We have the official release information for the North American BOOMco product lines, and all the BOOMco blasters currently on-hand for review.

If you’re looking for information about the Mattel BOOMco blaster range-the most competitive to Nerf blasters in a long while-you have come to the right spot. We are in constant communication with Mattel’s PR people for any new information, imagery or product details. In addition to reviewing the BOOMco Twisted Spinner and the BOOMco Rapid Madness blaster (which we reviewed exclusively for North American markets), we have already completed product testing and reviews.

These products are already available in some stores, but the BOOMco line will not be in stores in North America until June 29th. (Except for those that leaked early). We were able to get the blasters from Mattel early, so we are taking measurements of distance, rate of fire, feet per second, and more, in order to provide you with the best possible reviews of all new products.

Its an exciting year to be into Nerf-type blasters, with new competitors like the BOOMco line from Mattel sure to spice things up considerably with proprietary Smart Stick tech and innovative new blaster designs. There will be plenty of competition from other corners as well, such as Tech 4 Kids and Buzz Bee, Zuru, among others. We appreciate your support of our coverage, both here and in social media, and you can be sure Blaster Labs will be staying on top of all the latest Mattel BOOMco news and new product developments headed our way in 2014-and beyond.

In the meantime, heres a sneak-peak of the Rapid Madness, which we currently have in for review. The full-sized, air-powered blaster can fire 10 shots per second at a very fast rate of fire, which may surprise you.
